[DeTomaso] Busted engine mount bolts

I used to do this a thousand years ago working at Midas muffler in High
School. In Detroit (salt capital of the world) the exhaust studs would
always freeze-up, rust, and break off when doing exhaust work on stock
cast iron manifolds. This trick of heating up the bolt til its red-hot
and blasting away with your trusty torch is not 100%. You WILL blow
some metal away, but there is always that chance of getting some
manifold. I don't think I would try this on a block. At least not my
block! :)

Dear John and Thomas,

This approach has all the virtues of Hollywood: explosive gases,
high tech, and molten metal. Clearly, it to appeals to many people
suffering from damnable broken bolts and even more damnable broken
easy-outs,*but* it can't be done with the engine in place, can it?
I like the molten metal part....

          *Warmest* regards, Chuck Engles
