[DeTomaso] [NPC] Catalytic Converters

Years ago the cat on my '82 Z28 plugged up; it was only a couple years old.   
Turned out after buying it from the original owner, there had been a recall 
notice which of course did not reach us.   The car suddenly started to run sick 
and of course was on a Friday night.   Jack put a 'tube' on it (which made it 
sound really good) and after we got the second notice, had a new cat 
installed by the dealer; it only stayed on a week or two when I had Jack put the tube 
back on!   Think the new one may still be in the garage in a bag.   The guy at 
the dealer said the car probably ran better without the cat!
