I love the sound of a mini-gun hanging off a helicopter, so why not out
the back of a Pantera?

I always thought that the ZF would be a good spot to mount a Gatling gun
with the barrels pointing out the AC vent. It would nicely complement
the
pair of Big Bore mortar launchers on either side of the AC vent.
Of course, it's just a fictional James Bond thing ... though, the SCCA
rules
don't specific forbid the use of Gatling guns or mortars ...

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks Gary. I can see it firing through the
prop center, but not though any part of the engine, and certainly not
the crank!
BTW, the ME 109 had a Merlin 500-45 engine.
