Subject: [DeTomaso] I need help!!!

I just purchased a 1973 Pantera that has been stored for the past 20
years. It was a low mileage car, but has been painted 3 times. The
original color was orange, then it was painted red, and finally painted
black. Needless to say I want to paint it yellow. After getting the
car home, I completely disassembled it. I removed evey thing but the
glass. I then had it soda blasted down to the bare metal. This reveals
any body work that had been done and any rust in the car. No rust has
been found, and only minor body work. I live in the high desert area of
central oregon so rust is not a problem.

I found this car only 2 miles from my home. My question is, I want to
upgrade everything on the car, engine, brakes, cooling system, wiring
and anything else that comes to mind. I am very capable of doing
everything that needs to be done to the car, but I could really use some
advice from all you knowledgeable pantera owners on where to go for
parts and any hints about what should be upgraded rather then the
obvious items stated above.

Iam so excited about finding this car and the condition it is in. It
consumes all my waking hours and I want to share my information about
what I have found out about this fine automobile to anyone who will
listen.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
