Ok, how much hydrogen can you produce with one nuclear power plant the
size of Palo Verde?

RG -- you just are not getting the big picture.

You burn the hydrogen to heat water to drive a turbine which produces
the
electricity to power the hydrolyser which produces the hydrogen. It's
really not that complicated.

I am going to go tune my PMC (Perpetual Motion Cleveland) now.
The price of Evian is just killing me.

I don't expect to fill up the Pantera with water anytime soon.

The hydrogen torch is nothing new. The military has been fooling around
with water powered subs for years.

This car being powered by hydrogen & gas paints a picture that you pour
water in and hydrogen magically appears and it aint that way.

The same problems producing hydrogen apply here.

Even though hydrogen is all around us, freeing it up is another matter.

Hydrogen produced in volume uses a machine called a hydrolizer. Water
and
electricity go in and hydrogen comes out.

It takes ~8KW of power to produce a gallon of hydrogen.

Factor the price of the electricity, the cap cost of the
machine,operator
cost, the cost of the H20 and the raw cost to make a gallon of hydrogen
is
over three dollars per gallon. Add the margin in for the supply chain
and
you are looking at 5 to 6 dollars per gallon at the pump for a gallon of
hydrogen. Such a deal !

Since we are not a nuclear powered nation, as we produce more hydrogen,
keep bringing the tankers of oil over to run the power plants to make
the
hydrogen.

In the car application, where does the power come from ?

In the sub app the power comes from a reactor to run the hydrolizer.

The movie is more hype & BS than reality.
