[DeTomaso] MSD 8350 Distributor

The engine can be shifted fore or aft slightly (maybe 3/4") by moving the
big washers on the ZF mounting ears from one side of the rubber bushings to
the other. The motor mounts also have enough wiggle room for that much
movement.

Unfortunately, my engine is slid as far rearward as the ZF mounts allow and
I still have almost zero clearance between the distributor cap and firewall.

Dear Forest,

***** I am so naive, I thought that the engine position was pretty well
static from the engine mounts and the transmission mounts. Do you mean
that there is some "play" in the exact mounting of a Cleveland in a Pantera?
If that is true, then how does a naive mechanic "adjust" the location of an
engine?
