As a mentioned a few years ago (quote below) in a discussion about BUSS
GBC Fuses, I've been using a product "Ox-Gard"( by GB Electrical) I got
at Home Depot (it's available at most HW stores). It costs $5 or less
for the 1 oz size. To use it effectively, you have to clean your
contacts of oxidation (and the fuse ends too). I used scotch guard but
fine steel wool or sand paper might also work well.
I just went down to check how the resistance was doing. Four years ago
(when I posted) may have been the last time I checked. Anyway, all of
the fuses registered less than a fraction of an ohm (most seemed to be
right about 0.0) on my digital vom. One (#8) was a little goofy at first
until I discovered it was the one for the door lights. As soon as I
pressed in the door switch, it registered zero.
