Normally, there's alcohol or other thin liquid inside and by the time you 
find a crack, the stuff has all evaporated. Like light bulbs, capillary tube 
gauge senders are as close to unrepairable as anthing I know of. If its a gauge 
with a unique face, the gauge can be disassembled & faces swapped around onto 
new gauges. But it always entails buying a new gauge. Cheers- J DeRyke
