The Funnelweb is a reduced port cross section designed to be used with a
set of matching cylinder head port stuffers that both raise the intake port
floors and narrow the ports. Theoretically, that will allow the engine to
have a wider torque band that the Strip Dominator.

Notice the Funnelweb is taller than the Strip Dominator. One of the guys
on the Cleveland forum presented the results of a test with several of
the Aussie intakes and a Strip Dominator. The results followed intake
manifold height with the tallest intake making the best peak power.
IIRC, the spread was not as large as in the FrodMuscle test. It's possible
that a 2" carb spacer on a Strip Dominator would make up much of the
difference, at least on the top end. Be aware that Terry made several
iterations of the Funnelweb. Presumably the later versions are better.

The ports are somehwat less wide than A3. I know someone who has one
and might be able to get the port info from him, if you'd like.

In addition to the A331's you already have, I have both B351 and D351
intakes here. To my eye, there isn't much difference between the A331
and the B351 (both Roush versions). The primary difference is the A331
has the end seal shape for 351C blocks while the B351 has the overhang
for Cleveland, Windsor and race blocks. However, there is a functional
difference between the D351 (Edelbrock) and the A331 or B351. If you
look at the plenum floor of th A331 and B351, they are high with the
runners sloping downwards. The D351 has a lower plenum floor with less
slope runners. According to the Motorsport catalog, the D351 was a
short track intake and the B351 a speedway intake.
I would be willing to loan the intakes out for your dyno test.
The other intake that fits your combo is the Edelbrock Victor AHII.
I have one those, too. It's currently unavailable but might be
available by the time you do your dyno test.
Speaking of dyno tests, I have one coming up soon for a 408C and
would like to compare a full length set of 4V headers (perhaps from
a Mustang or similar vehicle) against the usual Pantera headers.
I have a couple sets of Pantera headers. Anyone have a set of
full length headers they'd be willing to loan out?
