I also have video (in car and out) of Claude Dubois driving my car at LVMS.
He was impressed with the handling and made reference to it at the POCA
dinner ;)

When we drove it, it was on the old motor. The brakes and suspension were on
the car. The only difference between the drive he took and present is the
new engine.

He showed me what the car can do! Boy was that amazing. I had the
opportunity to drive with an ex lemans pilot! He drove for many European
manufacturers during the late 60s and early 70s. Hell of a guy. We went over
to the Shelby plant at the track during the track day for a little breather.
The folks over there immediately identified who he was and we got a nice
tour of the facility. I was in my two piece driving suit at the time as we
had just left the other side of the track. There I was with Claude hob
knobbing with the executives at Shelby. It was a hoot.

A very memorable day indeed.

Greg

I have video from thunderhill (in car) if anyone wants..

;)

It shows the speedo hitting the big numbers and the horizon is level from
inside the car. No tire squeal on the mic and tons of "oh shit" comments
from the passenger...

;)

It's a blast to drive.

If anyone is serious about this car, I would be happy to go drive it, and
report back.

(Disclaimer) I already know Greg.

But I have not driven the car. I would be happy to test the repeatability
of the torque and wheel spin claims - grin. Or better, run the car on a
track
and video it's handling and power.
Track cost paid by someone else - grin.

Chuck

Its got plenty!

I can crack the 345s free between gears and it pulls like a freight train.

Monster is an understatement. I have owned some nice, fast cars...this one
is a mover and a shaker. I think the setup of the car is what helps.
Traction is real solid due the custom suspension and group 3 style sway
bars. The carrera coil overs helps keep the ass planted..

Probably the best time to peddle the thing.

Don't see 430hp at the wheels as any big monster motor, certainly more than
my junk, but unless it has gobs of low-end grunt what good is it?

David, a little boost goes a long way . . . .
