We haven't purchased anything through eBay or PayPal for several years and we 
still occasionally get the same messages, so apparently it doesn't matter if 
you've done any recent transactions with them.   Whenever I get them I forward 
them directly to eBay and Paypal spoof addresses and then don't hear from 
them again for a while.   Fortunately our son has a Paypal account so on the rare 
occasion we want something, he does the transaction for us.
