[DeTomaso] Electric Fuel Pump Recomendation

Paul,

I don't know the dimensions of the pump you refer to but you will 
probably need a bigger hole in the top of the tank to accommodate 
the pump diameter. I mounted a Bosch pump in my GT5-S tank which 
involved making a bracket that bolted to the bottom of the tank to 
hold the pump. You should use a bracket also. I then brought the 
wires and fuel line through an enlarged access hole fitted with a 
cover having wire connections and a bulkhead fitting for the fuel 
line. You may find it easier to mount your pump below the tank. 
Others have done this quite successfully by using the drain plug 
hole to attach a fuel line. Remember that the short length of line 
from the tank to the pump is on the suction side and must be at 
least a -10 size to prevent fuel vaporization at elevated ambient 
temperatures.
