Dear Charles,
1) yes, just get the AutoZone plugs for a '72 Mustang for simplicity
2) the plugs on the driver's side are pretty easy to remove. The
passenger's side can be a bit annoying. If access from above and behind
is challenging then I've found that access from beneath conquers the
offending plug pretty quickly.
3) traps? there are traps with 30 year old Italian sports cars? What
traps? :-)
4) Might consider a new fuel filter while you're at AutoZone.........
Good Luck, Chuck Engles

range hotter, that way they do not foul as easily. Inspect the plugs
when you take them out. Look at the color, wet, dry, etc. Keep them on
the bench as to where they were in the vehicle, you may see a pattern.
If you have aluminum heads put some, small amount, of antisieze on the
threads, Check the gap also I think it is 1 to 1.5 mm gap.
