The brand doesn't seem to matter. Using Spirol's descriptions, Fords prefer 
"slotted spring-pins" as opposed to "spiral spring-pins". The problem is not 
torque, its 'torque reversals' from debris impacts in the oil pump. The close 
tolerance gearotor-type oil pumps in Fords are very intolerant of debris and jam 
up. So a thicker walled pin (especially when a second pin is inserted inside 
the first) holds up to impact-loads better than an equally strong thin-walled 
pin that progressively cracks its many walls from torque reversals. Given 
surgically-clean oil forever, either pin would work. But in street engines that 
are lucky to get one oil change & a cheap filter a year..... FWIW- J DeRyke
