Yes, the grounded battery affects electrical current flow because of the many different ground wires placed around the body. The body is the ground wire path back to the battery.  If the car was wired as a home then all grounds would wire back to one dump source which would be the negative cable at battery. Too much trouble to do this, but if you had a total wood car then you would have to. If this reaction is worry some then find some dielectric gel spray or some sort of sacrificial magnesium strips and spray or coat the areas  where the two different  metals touch. Also my Mangusta 1196 has no thermostat at the intake manifold outlet, is that normal? And what temp range has proven to be the best. Thanks for the good info exchange. Jeff Cobb, 1196.
