[DeTomaso] Subwoofer question

Chris,

It seems you have mutually exclusive ambitions--to have a subwoofer in the 
firewall (which will require building an extension cavity behind the passenger 
seat) and to have the flat firewall kit (which will require you to relocate 
your alternator behind the passenger seat).

Crazy George down in the San Diego club built a fairly large 'trunk' behind 
his passenger seat, by moving the various ignition bits out of the way, and 
then fabricating a box out of sheetmetal and welding it to the firewall (and 
presumably supporting it from underneath via the rocker panel).   He flips his 
(Corvette) seat forward and has all sorts of room back there.   I would estimate 
his box is about 14x14x14 inches or so?
