  With all due respect there is a reason these modular wheels aren't being built or sold anymore. I get no satisfaction from sharing this information except many of you already know about the wheels.
   
  And one of the reasons (and there are several) that these wheels stopped being build or sold was they had a reputation of "cracking" ..... not on one occasion but on many occasions. At least one track side accident occured that I know of with these wheels on a Pantera. More failures occured on street driven Panteras that were 'never' raced.
   
  The majority of the cracking was difficult to see as the cracking started with hairline cracks  on the inside of the rim halfs where most Pantera owners would never look. 
   
  If any of you have any doubt about this information check with vendors like Steve Wilkinson, Bobby Byers, Larry Stock, or Mike Cook who identified the cracked wheels on  customers wheels. Customers who had no idea there was a problem until a mechanic or tire shop brought the problem to their attention.  
   
  I could say allot more about these wheels but out of respect for the vendor who stopped selling the wheels I will leave it at that. 
   
  Far as I am concerned these modular wheels were unsafe 15 years ago and are  unsafe today at any speed.
