The new VW Jetta TDIs are starting to appear in the US. MPG in the
high 40s. The Sportswagon looks very nice indeed. The first diesel car
to go on sale that meets the new CARB emissions regs, but I seem to
remember reading Honda are not far behind.

As soon as a local dealer gets a TDI Sportswagon, I'm going for a test drive.

Great mileage, tons of torque, plenty of space ... makes sense to me.
