A good exhaust for Naturally aspirated is different to a good turbo exhaust.
Either save your money for your turbo install or buy a 2nd hand performance
exhaust and sell it to someone else when you do your turbo upgrade.
Sounds like you should budget for a better radiator as you'll need one with
your turbo install and it will help in the hot desert air.

Subject: Re: [Miata] 2000 exhaust turbo?
I broke down and purchased a 2000 Miata, I needed AC for the hot desert
drives.
I have a list of things I wanted to install but I have a question here.
If I upgrade the exhaust, what should I install in case I ever want to add a
turbo?
I am thinking about the exhaust, and suspension and or shocks this time
around. I was happy with the KYBs at full stiffness on my 95.
