Are you sure the bracket is mounted properly?
Pics?

Subject: [Miata] Brake question
I just replace the rear calipers with a rebuilt caliper with mounting
bracket. When the new brackets are installed, the rotor rubs the inside
face...it is not centered in the slot by nearly an eighth of an inch. When
the lug nuts are tourqued up, the rotors totally bind against the inside
face of the caliper bracket. It seems like the rotors need to be shimmed out
to center them in the caliper slot. I did not see any shimming when I took
them apart. The rotors just locate on the face of the wheel hub, as I see
it. Why this discrepancy? Any suggestions for a solution? I am baffled and
it is entirely possible that I have done something dumb, but so far I can't
figure it out.
Thanks
Derek
