Agreed, if you can see it it's too much and you need to deal with it while
you still have a chance of saving the crank.

That sounds like a lot of wobble to me. If you can see it, it sounds like a
lot.
Have you had the timing belt done? When it was last done, who did it
and did they know the proper procedure?
I would disassemble and inspect, replacing the key and crank bolt.
Possible crank repair.
