[Miata] 01+ NB Drivers running FM Sways?

Hmmm

I don't see how the RB brace does anything for a mounting tab on the A
frame. Doesn't it reinforce the mounting tabs on the chassis cross member??
And the chassis cross member is the same between all the cars except for
some early 99 cars.

I was under the impression that the mount on the A-arms was only a single
tab instead of the U-shaped mount of the earlier cars. Of course, Racing
Beat could just be throwing out a lot of marketing jargon to sell all that
extra bracing. I was wondering what the deal was...unfortunately, my
knowledge of NB's is nowhere near what it was for NA's!

I was interested in this statement, Bryan. I just checked my Mazda Parts CD
and see no difference e in any part numbers involving pre 01 and the post
cars except for the VERY early 99. What exactly are you referring to as
being different?

By the way...I hope I didn't offend anyone. The truth is, 01+ cars have
different sway mounts than all of the earlier cars, so I am specifically
concerned about whether or not the FM bar broke anyone's mounts.

Hey all,

I'm on the fence about upgrading the front sway on The Tick and had given
the FM Sway a thought largely because I don't feel like shelling out $300
for all the extra bracing to add an RB tubular bar (that I may not even
like). For those driving an 01+ car, what are your impressions? Any
issues?

-Bryan

ps - Yes, this is a totally different animal for 00 and earlier cars, so I'm
not really interested in hearing about those experiences (especially since I
had a set of front and rear on my 97).
