The maps in a 2650 can be updated. The current map version is V8 of City
Navigator, but that has been out a while so they should be releasing a
newer map set soon. Be sure you do not buy the City Navigator "NT" version
- that will not work on the 26xx GPS units.
If you have not registered the unit with Garmin, so do. Then you can log
into "My Garmin" and see what maps updates are available and what the price
might be. The V8 maps retail for $100 but can be had for less online.
Upgrades are usually $50-75.
If all else fails just call Garmin support and ask them about the updates.
